This multi-media Celtic performance combines the talent of Ensemble Galilei and Talk of the Nation host Neal Conan with the newest images from the Hubble Space Telescope projected on stage as a perfect backdrop.

Contra Tiempo caters workshop, master class or residency to your needs and interests as a unique learning community. We have an elementary, middle and high school curriculum, and have worked with K - 12th grade. In all of our work with youth we use Salsa, Afro-Cuban, Hip Hop technique and dance fundamentals, including the principles of leading and following, improvising in pairs, groups, and small learning communities. For younger students we work with concepts of independence, dependence and interdependence - exploring these concepts physically.

Dan Froot – Working with up to 8 classes for several days to develop original student puppet shows from stories they develop

March 3 community workshop

From developing stories, buildings puppets and puppet stages, Dan Froot, performance artist and Randall Whittinghill, working in residency with local students, these artists will develop original short puppet theaters and shows with students. Workshop would have to be about 3 hours a day for two days in the time period they are in Helena.

This company from Italy build stage environments of light and color and images on the stage of the Myrna. Interactive technologies transform every show into a 'magical' environment where art and play can be experienced. Dancers, performers and the audience itself interact with each other exploring new expressive forms that go beyond language and cultural barriers. School workshops will all ow kids to experience the world of butterflies and be on stage to play with elements to create their own stories. Workshops will be done during the school day for individual classes at the Myrna Loy. The school show can be for up to 250 students.
